News & Announcements
Welcome and thanks for visiting the website of First Presbyterian Church in Pulaski! Explore this site to learn more about our congregation and ministries.
• THE LECTIONARY TEXTS for Sunday, January 29 are: Deuteronomy 18:15-20; I Corinthians 8:1-13; Mark 1:21-28 and the sermon title
is THE ONE FOR WHOM AND THROUGH WHOM WE LIVE.
• WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY this week will be a study night. The children and youth will continue in their regular program. Following the 6 p.m. supper they will split their time between study and music. Dr. Whitener is leading a study entitled "God's Will: What Scripture Says" for the adults.
• CHOIR REHEARSALS are Wednesday nights at 7:30 p.m. in the choir room. Come join us, we've saved you a seat!
• We have a new Prayer Chain Coordinator. She is Ilene Compton and we are very blessed to have her! Past coordinators have been Nancy Bushong who started the chain and Bonnie Spivey. If you would like to be a member, let Ilene know at 980-2439. We currently have eighteen members who are Ilene Compton, Lynda Semones, Lynn King, Mary Ann Vaughan, Violet Nash, Jeanne Whitman, Dot Cash, Sandy Dawson, Rachael DeHaven, Virginia Kirkland, Ivery Lindsey, Bonnie Spivey, Ruth Ann Whitener, Betty Tourney, Dru Henderson, Anna Powers, Phyllis Vice and Bernice Brown. We receive a prayer request and call the person at the top of the list and then each person calls the next person. It’s just that simple! Prayer always, always helps in some way. It helps the one who prays and the one prayed for.
• FLOWER CALENDAR: The new calendar for 2012 is on an easel in the Fourth Street vestibule. Please select a special Sunday or Sundays and sign up to put flowers in our sanctuary. Fresh flowers add to our worship experience and are a wonderful way to glorify God and remember or honor people we love.
• IF YOU HAVE pledged for 2012, please pick up your offering envelopes in the back of the sanctuary. If you need offering envelopes, please see Archie or Aiko Boothe.
